Features:
- Voltage spikes limited to below 1000V
- Motor heating, vibration and noise are reduced
- Motor insulation breakdown protection prevents motor failure
- Common Mode reduced by a minimum of 30%
- System productivity improved by an increased motor bearing life
- System compatibility: 240-600V AC
- 2-750A range
- For higher carrier frequencies (6 kHz), a heavy duty model is available

Typical Problems, Superior Solutions with V1K
- Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) Drives can cause motor failures, which offsets the energy savings and decreased maintenance benefits often gained by using them.
- KLC-Series V1K products have been designed as a solution for motor failures caused by the reflected wave phenomenon.

Reflective Wave Phenomenon
- Voltage wave reflection = a function of the voltage rise time (dV/dt) and the length of the motor cables.
- If the impedence on both ends of a cable is not equal, voltage pulses will be reflected back. When these reflected waves meet others, their values combine causing higher peak voltage.
- As carrier frequency or wire length increases, the overshoot peak voltage will also increase.
- Peak Voltages on a 460V system can reach 1200 to 1600 V, which causes rapid breakdown of motor insulation and leads to motor failure. On 575V systems, he peak voltages can easily reach 2100V. If this is left uncontrolled, insulation failure may occur.

Mitigate Reflective Wave
By combining a patented dampening circuit with a low pass filter, V1K filters:
- Increase the voltage rise time (dt out of dV/dt)
- Prevent voltage spikes from exceeding 1,000 V
- Slow pulse transitions, reduce dV/dt
- Protect motor and cable insulation
